During studies of typography, I was presented with a hypothetical brief to develop a program for a summer Arts and Culture festival called ‘Fiesta De Verano’. It was a simulated event celebrating Latin Culture. The focus of the project was to consider typographic elements, such as complimentary typefaces, selecting consistent styles, and artistic uses of typography; and how to combine these appropriately to create a uniform composition that is scalable and effortlessly readable. It was also required to devise a wordmark for the event that showcased typography as an artistic design feature.
